Taranto in Calessino “was born in 2017 as part of” StartTà “, the business incubator born within the Taras project, promoted by the Programma Sviluppo in partnership with the University of Bari, Municipality of
Taranto, CSV, Confcooperative, istituto Cabrini e Universus Csei, winner
of the call “Ambiente è Sviluppo” of Fondazione CON IL SUD.
A little by chance, during a work break, Giovanni and Gabriele, two
receptionist of a hotel in Taranto decide to develop in the City of Two Seas an idea already present in several tourist cities such as Capri and Ischia,
but also the closest Ostuni and Gallipoli: to discover the beauties of Taranto on board a nice Ape Calessino. Enhance and promote the
territory through tours that allow you to visit, discover and admire the
landscape, historical and cultural heritage of the Ionian territory.
“Taranto in Calessino” is presented to the city on the occasion of the first
cruise ship landed in Taranto. Tourists and the whole city are literally conquered, the first photo published on social networks has become
viral in a few hours: over 170 thousand people reached.
